Does DryCleaners.ca™ charge a membership fee?

DryCleaners.ca™ does not charge a membership fee. In fact, using Drycleaners™’ dry-cleaning service is in most cases less expensive than your neighborhood retail dry-cleaners. We achieve this by having a centralized operating plant, no retail storefront overhead, and streamlined operation which provides our customer the quality of service they demand at a price that is less than traditional retail dry-cleaners.

Does DryCleaners.ca™ charge a pick-up and delivery fee?

Pick-up and delivery is FREE when your order totals $10 or more. A fee of $3 is charged for orders that total less than $10.

Where does DryCleaners.ca™ pick-up from and deliver to?

DryCleaners.ca™ picks-up and delivers your personal dry-cleaning items to your place of business, or to your home. The service is currently available in the Toronto/ GTA and Kitchener/Waterloo area.

Can I call Customer Service to place my order?

Why do I need to Register?

Registration provides a login Name and Password which allows you to easily and quickly order. You need to register before you place any orders with DryCleaners.ca™. Just fill in your personal information one time and DryCleaners.ca™ will automatically fill in the same information every time you place an order from our site. Opening an account is easy, fast and it will make your shopping experience enjoyable and hassle-free.

Why do I need a password?

In order to place an order for dry-cleaning service, you will need to set up an account with DryCleaners.ca™. As part of this registration you are required to create a password that only you will know. We have developed this system for your convenience and security. Once you have an account and password, ordering becomes as simple as typing in your password. With a password you and your information will be protected. A password will keep others from viewing your personal information. It will also prevent others from placing orders in your name.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We have a mobile payment system and can accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Interac. If you have a corporate account with us, we can accept checks. If you are not going to be there upon pick-up, you can fill in your credit card information on your order form or we can come back at your convenience.

At times DryCleaners.ca™ may send email to our customer’s listing our current specials or information regarding our services or our website. At anytime, a customer may subscribe or unsubscribe from this list.

It is not necessary for you to be present because all pick-ups and deliveries are made only to a specific location (closet, a room, a cubicle, etc.) within your company. You or your company, as a pick-up and drop-off station, has designated this location for DryCleaners.ca™.

What do I do if my order is incomplete?

At DryCleaners.ca™ we pride ourselves on timely and accurate service. On the rare occasion that there is a problem with your order, please send an e-mail to our Customer Service Center describing the circumstances and a representative will assist you in remedying the problem.

What do I do if I have a question regarding an order?

Drycleaners.ca™ Customer Service Representatives are happy to answer any questions you may have about our service and how to use our web site. However, DryCleaners.ca™ is an dry-cleaning service site, and hence your first line of communication with us is through e-mail. Please make all inquires through our Customer Service Center. Immediately after receipt of your e-mail you will receive confirmation of receipt of your e-mail. Shortly after, a Customer Service Representative will contact you to resolve any issues.

What if there is a problem with submitting my order over the Internet?

If you experience difficulty with your internet connection or our site, please call us. We will assist you with your order. Please report any difficulties you encounter to our Customer Care Center.

Does frequent dry-cleaning shorten the life of a garment?

On the contrary, frequent cleaning prolongs the life of a garment. Not only do stains set with age, making the garment un-wearable, but ground-in-dirt and soil act as an abrasive, like sandpaper, causing rapid wear of fibers.

Does dry-cleaning shrink clothes?

No, the dry-cleaning solvents do not penetrate fabric, hence, shrinking, color loss and fabric distortion will not occur. Improper preshrinking by the manufacturer usually causes excessive shrinkage.

What is an invisible stain?

Many stains that are caused by food, oily substances, or beverages may become invisible when they dry out. But, later on, with exposure to heat they will reappear (a step in the dry-cleaning process). This is caused by the oxidation of the sugar in the staining substance. To increase the chances of removing the stain, it is recommended that you immediately mark the spot where the spill occurred with a piece of tape to make the dry-cleaner aware of the invisible stain, on a piece of paper write what was spilled, and bring it to be cleaned immediately.

What if after dry-cleaning the stain remains?

Contrary to popular belief, certain stains cannot be removed by the dry-cleaning process. The nature and age of the stain, plus the color and construction of the fabric, sometimes make stains impossible to remove without damaging the fabric. To increase the chances of removing the stain, it is recommended that you immediately mark the spot where the spill occurred with a piece of tape to make the dry-cleaner aware of the invisible stain, on a piece of paper write what was spilled, and bring it to be cleaned immediately.

Who is responsible for damages?

The Federal Trade Commissions Care Label Rule covers wearing apparel. Textile garments sold in Canada must have a permanent legible care label. All parts of the garment must be able to withstand the recommended care procedure. The care label is intended to give the dry-cleaner guidance on how to care for the item properly. If a label says "dry-clean," this means that all components including the outer shell, lining, buttons, interfacing fusing material and trim will be color fast and will not be altered during cleaning process. If any such problem occurs, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer, who has not tested the component accurately before labeling. If the problem arises from a manufacturing defect, you should take the article back to the retailer for an adjustment or refund.
